Any thoughts on what WMMMS was like, especially the new venue?
I wasn't able to get there due to the combined efforts of Sky and West Midlands Police changing the Albion-Blues K.O. time to 1200 so I'd be interested to know what the show was like and what nice shiny toys people bought.
I hope it is better than the old Walsall venue, the last time I went there the hell of parking, that self-important cretin with the anenodial voice on the P.A. who loves his announcements about the police, and the awful crowding I promised myself I'd never go again.

I thought that the show in Aldersley was an improvement on Alumwell. OK so it looked a bit iffy when we got there as there was a queue of traffic waiting to get in, but it was only for a couple of minutes & there seemed to be a fair amount of spaces left. The venue itself is larger than Alumwell, so it was much easier to walk around & actually see the trade stands! From a selfish point of view the new location is better as it's much nearer than Walsall. The fact that there's a Wolves football academy there is a little disturbing, but you can't have everything I suppose!? I spent a little more than planned, but then that's not unusual. I increased my 20mm WWII Soviets mobility by actually buying some trucks for them & a couple of SU76's for the Germans to laugh at while the JSII's sneak (?) up on them! I also bought another excellent 20mm building from Fieldworks, which is a 3 storey building ideal for hiding snipers in. If anyone is interested Fieldworks website is at www.fieldworks.org.uk/. Grubby Tanks have started selling tubs of buildings from Battle Design UK. Yes I did say tub as the 8" tower I bought like all their other kits is in 400 separate pieces!! If this goes well (apparently it's one of the hardest kits they do - typical!) & I win the lottery I may buy the 2000+ piece Cathedral!? Scott
