Hi, as me and Adam have ended up with many useless figures in our collection, as I am sure many more of you have, then we may have found a solution for the modelers amongst you.
Unlike most 'clix collectors, me and Adam are too damn mean to spend £150+ to get a rare figure, so with a bit of miliput and a stanley knife you can quite easily convert your figures up to repaint standard. For example if you look at the book of Oa (do google search) you will find the entire Green Lantern Corps listed many of which are simple Humanoid figures.
Anyway, here's how it works: firstly get the official stats for the unique or limited adition figure you want from the official Heroclix website then transfer the stats to this site:
www.aduckwhat.com/robert/HeroClix/
where there is a dial generator tool. If you have your screen set to maximum resolution you can simply print the dial from the site.
Even more fun, if you want to create a totally new character like the 'Tic' check out this site which lets you feed in your own mixture of powers and abilities and will then generate up the points for your figure. You may for example wish to go for Willie Kyote v's Road Runner, no problem. Then it is back to the first site to create you new dial. Snap open the base and you have your new figures.
geo-media.net/clix/dial_calc.html
While conversions of the genuine uniques from the site should be allowed in a tornament event the second crazy generated 'Tic' etc. would only be suitable for the less serious players like me I'm afraid, BUT think of the fun you could have!!!
