It is with sadness that I have to announce the passing of James Webster at the end of last week. A long standing member of the Stourbridge club and a friend to a great many of it's members. Although he had not been in the greatest of health over the last few years he was generally cheerful and ready for a good scrap over the table top. He was taken too soon and I am sure he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind his wife April, and our thoughts and best wishes go out to her and his family at this sad time.

It was such a shock to all that knew him - I was hoping he might recover as he looked slightly better last time I saw him. Sadly I never got to know him too well as he played more fantasy games than I did but, he was always optomistic and cheerful. On the rare occasion we gamed together he was always very fair often helping his opponents (me included) to get the upper hand.
He was a good loyal club member and a freind to all he met. Taken too soon, much too soon.

We were only discussing the other day about arranging some 40K/30K games, we were going to discuss it last Friday.
He will be very much missed.

Funeral details ( thanks to Alex):
Thursday 18th May, St James' Church, Belfry Drive, Wollaston at 1 p.m. This will be folowed by a celebration at Graham's Place.
James didn't do 'formal wear' so you are asked to wear something comfortable or what reminds you of James. We all know his inappropriate sense of humour, love of music, horror and wargames.
Finally, James would complain if there were flowers, so the family are asking for donations to Ravens Rescue animal charity instead. Alex has already collected some money and the club will be making an additional donation. Those who still wish to contribute, see Alex this Friday.
